King's Kids
The King's Kids Childrens Program is a youth program geared toward ages 3 to 9 years. We meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 pm until 7:45 pm. The children enjoy learning about the Bible and all the wonderful stories within its pages. We create crafts in conjunction with our stories and play games that increase their knowledge of the characters and their contribution to our own walk toward salvation. The lesson plan is usually set up to complete it during a quarter.
Historically, the King s Kids program has visited and performed the songs they have learned in local nursing homes and our Sunday church service, provided yard work, participated in the church Puppet Ministry, and have served in the church as official Youth Sunday leadership. We try to have at least one play or musical production during the year. We have holiday activities that include a trip to the pumpkin patch where each child picks out the perfect pumpkin and we return to the fellowship hall to carve them, Christmas Carol singing, an Unbunny Easter Egg hunt, and a trip to Chucky Cheese is always a favorite. We have annual and quarterly activities to raise money for trips and fun social activities. Recently we used the funds we raised selling Bird Houses that we painted to attend the Barnum & Bailey Circus. Other activities we participate in are bowling, snow tubing, ice cream trips, skating, fast food trips, fishing trips and an occasional swim party complete with the hot dogs and hamburgers. All functions are well supervised and we encourage parents to become willing participants in the games and other activities. We have a church van available to travel as a group in and it is driven by a licensed insured driver.
I have been so blessed to have the opportunity to make a difference in a childs life and help prepare and encourage them to become all that our Lord has planned for them. We will begin meeting again on September 5th and have an exciting program to learn more about Prayer and how it can affect their lives and the lives of the people that they love and depend on. So grab your child, children, or Grandchildren and come out and give us a try, you might just learn something yourself. Learn! Play! Fellowship! Enjoy ! Eat! Each night always ends with Prayers and Praises!
May God Bless and Keep you. Mrs. BJ
